The Fordney School

J.W. Fordney School is a historic one room school building built in 1838. It was originally located on the corner of Fordney and Ederer Roads in Richland Township. Today, it is located on the campus of Hemlock Public School District. It is now home to the Museum and serves as our greatest artifact. The museum features educational and historical displays from the area's history. Visitors can learn about the school's past and enjoy our many artifacts.

Business Ephemera

The Museum houses a large collection of business memorabilia from today and yesteryear. This collection includes items from businesses that are no longer here, as well as current businesses. The collection includes items such as calendars, plates, and objects carrying the logos of the businesses in the area, such as this Stapleton's money clip. This collection is a great way to explore the history of businesses and their impact on society.

Family Scrapbooks

The Museum houses a variety of scrapbooks put together by various Hemlock residents for different purposes through the years. This includes scrapbooks through the years, photographs of Hemlock events and people, or newspaper clippings about people and events connected to the Hemlock Area. These are a wealth of genealogical and historical information for those willing to look through them.
